Setting up a Basin Study Documenting Assessments
March 27, 2019 at 11:24 PMAll assessments should be documented. This should include a narrative overview of the basin, ecosystem services, relevant stressors, main stakeholders and any other information relevant to freshwater health and water use in the basin. Values for each sub-indicator should be reported (pre- and post-normalization), along with the data and models used to calculate the indicator. In cases where a sub-indicator cannot be evaluated, the reasons should be clearly stated, e.g., the indicator is not relevant for the basin or data is unavailable. The reasoning behind the choice of methods used to calculate indicators should be documented so that the calculation can be updated or used as the basis for future FHI assessments. Calculations carried out by the FHI toolbox apply the standard methods documented in this manual. Documentation of methods become especially important when using methods beyond this manual.
